Nototriously Morbid Slay Me Wave 4 Order

So, I am a little late with this post, but I thought it was worth sharing anyway. You guys know, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, that I absolutely love Notoriously Morbid. And I have a hard time resisting when they have their Free Day Friday deals. They don’t come every week now, so when they do it’s special.

A little while ago, NM released Wave 4 of their Slay Me collection, which is based on the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m going to admit… I never got much into that show. I know, I know. I’m ridiculous. But I did try. To be honest, I really loved the movie when I was younger, but I just never got sucked into the TV show. That said, I did have a lot of friends and family that loved it. And I may just give it a try again some day.

With this FDF deal, if you spent a certain amount of money (I can’t remember if it was $10 or $15) you got a free mini. With that free mini, you could choose from a Spike or Angel-inspired eyeshadow. I chose Angel.

Passion – This is the Angel-inspired mini I got. It’s absolutely gorge. It’s a grey-lilac with lots of hot pink and green sparkles.  I cannot say enough how much I love this one!! IMG_5508 IMG_5509

Norwegian Wood – This was the Color of the Month (COTM), which was a fun surprise bonus. It’s a ruddy brown with bronze, gold, and red sparkles. I really like it, but its hard to get excited about some shades of brown for me. It’s useful, but it’s not the most unique color out there.IMG_5513 IMG_5512

Done – This is a purple matte from Slay Me Wave 4. It’s much darker purple over a base. Also, just be warned, all my swatches use both NYX white base and Darling Girl Glitter Glue so that I’m consistent with how I always swatch… but don’t use a sticky base for your mattes. You know better. Anyway, over nyx white base, its a dark, warmer purple. With no base, I like it better – it’s more of a dark lavender.IMG_5514 IMG_5515 IMG_5516

Burn All the Witches – This is a matte marsala brown with a pinky-brown base. I really like it a lot.IMG_5519 IMG_5517 IMG_5518

That’s Why Her Hair is So Big, It’s Full of Secrets – this is one of my favorites of the whole bunch, and it was the oops sample! I hope NM rolls this out to the whole line, because it’s so pretty! It’s an orange-brown with a soft blue-green shift to it. IMG_5522 IMG_5520 IMG_5521

When I first applied it, it reminded me of Candied Apple from Femme Fatale. So, I did a side-by-side. Candied Apple has a pinker base with a stronger green shift, but they are definitely similar. This one might be the younger cousin of Candied Apple. So, that makes me happy.IMG_5525 IMG_5523 IMG_5524

Also with this order, I picked up a few more Coffin Kissers (my fave lip blam) and a Glass Lip Tint.

The Coffin Kissers I picked up were Lovecraft’s Limoncello (super lemon-y and refreshing), Matheson’s Marshmallow (marshmallows – my fave!), and Stoker’s Sangria (not a very strong smell on this one).

I also picked up a Glass Lip Tint in Glass Apples. It’s a nice berry color, but is very sheer. I love it though. Perfect amount of color without being too much, and since it has the Coffin Kisser formula, it’s SO moisturizing. Loooove!IMG_5526  IMG_5528 IMG_5530

I am loving everything that I picked up. Have you tried Notoriously Morbid’s Slay Me collection of mattes? Any favorites?
