So, y’all must know by now that I’m obsessed with my Jeffree Star matte lipsticks. A few weeks ago, he released a new color, Posh Spice, which I absolutely had to have. While picking up that, much more normal color, I decided to treat myself to a weird color as well.
So glad that I did.
Abused is a navy blue liquid to matte lipstick. For some reason, this was less tricky to apply than some of the other colors, but maybe I’m getting more practiced at applying it. I think one thing that helped this time was that I used a lip brush to do the edges, rather than thinking the applicator could do it. The applicator is a slightly weird shape and fluffy, so it makes getting even, beautiful lines difficult.
I used my brush to help with the edges (still not perfect – need practice), and then I went back over with the applicator from the tube to fill it all in.
Abused (lawd, I hate the name of this) lasted quite a long time, which is awesome. I’ve worn it a few times and get very similar results.
Here is a pic, 5 hours in after a greasy meal (which destroys the lipstick). Sorry the pic is so dark – I took it indoors.
This lipstick also did feather and stain a little bit. I have a problem with feathering all the time anyway, and this is no different. It’s pretty obvious in the picture below. You can also see a slight tinge of blue on the edges in the corner of my mouth.
But, for around 10 hours of wear, I feel like this is pretty damn good. And after the 10 hours, it’s still on there (it just doesn’t look as clean).
