I’ve not been playing with my mattes much lately. I guess I go in and out of matte mood. And when I do use mattes, they are usually the browns fro Blackbird cosmetics, like Thirteen, Dog Days, etc.
I haven’t really ever played with Fiction from Blackbird. It’s a medium, cool gray. I think I have the old formulation (she reformulated some time in the fall), because this color was really hard to blend out to look nice. If you look in the second picture, you can see how patchy it was. Note: This was with no primer. I find that Blackbird’s mattes perform better without a primer. They don’t need anything sticky to stay on my eyelids. In fact, they stay just as well with no primer, as they do with primer! (I don’t have oily eyelids, if you do, you might want primer)
