While I was at it, I decided to pick up this little mini lipstick duo. The only other lipstick from Bite is my LLLR 005, which I am madly in love with (the color AND the formula), so I thought this would be a good chance to try out a couple more colors before taking the plunge and buying a more expensive Bite Beauty lipstick (it will be Cava, for sure).
The Duo comes in two options: Fig/Date and Tangerine/Lingonberry. I opted for the Fig/Date option, since I thought the neutrals would suit me/be more wearable every day.
Who wants swatches?! Meeeeee!
Date is a nude-brown, but is fairly sheer. I think this color would work on a variety of skin tones, especially because it’s fairly sheer. You can see that a good bit of my lips’ natural pink shows through.
Fig is a very creamy dusty-rose pink.
Here is a comparison:
I find that both of these have pretty decent wear time. I get probably 3 hours out of each. I think the one thing that really got me, which I can’t say I’m surprised at given the price, but these are teensy. Remember those lipstick samples from Avon that your mom let you play with when you were a kid? Well, these aren’t quite that small, but definitely remind me of those! They are probably the size of my pinky finger. Still, for $12 to get two colors of a nice brand like this, definitely not disappointed in the money spent. In fact, given how long it takes me to go through lipstick, this is probably brilliant!
Have you tried any lipstick from Bite Beauty? What else should I try?
